I was skeptical when Scott Mescudi, a.k.a. Kid Cudi, announced he would be releasing an LP composed entirely of rock. While Cudi made his name in his unique singing/rapping style, I was unsure whether he would be able to pull off an album that wouldn't leave listeners destitute for rap. After his first two singles, Perfect is the Word and Brake, I was positive this album would be an utter gaffe. However, Teleport 2 Me, Jamie gives us a sliver of hope for WZRD. The dreamy crooning of Cudi over a familiar break beat will have you eager for this February 28th release.Tuesday, January 31, 2012
